US one-click applications: where delivery breaks

We send one-click applications to JobUfo from the same integration in Germany and the US. In Germany about half are delivered. In the US fewer than one in ten are. This review shows that the US failures sit with specific employers and specific feed setups, and lists what we need from JobUfo to fix them.

The application payload is not what differs. Every one of the 4,859 US and 14,755 German submissions in the window was accepted by your API (HTTP 201). They use the same request format and the same endpoint. Some US employers deliver almost every time on this integration: Ashley Furniture through Joveo at 98%, and Apex Focus Group through JobMesh at 100%.
Broker failures cluster in two places. Some employers fail on every feed: Amazon (0 of 1,562 since June), Walmart, Hilton, KForce and KPMG. Some US feed setups fail for every employer: J-Vers links in the /v3/job format, and Jobrapido US CPC. In both cases the same partner works for other employers, or for the same employer through another feed.
VACANCY_CLOSED clusters in particular feeds. Examples are Jobrapido US CPA (87% closed) and Big Jobsite US (78%). Every job we submitted was in our live index at the time of submission. Many were still published afterwards: of 418 US jobs reported closed between 3 and 6 Oct, 132 (32%) appeared with the exact same apply link in the partner feed import of 6 Oct, which was fetched after your verdict. For Jobrapido US CPA it was 76 of 136.
TRAFFICBROKER_ISSUE comes back fast. Three in four US broker verdicts were already set at our first status poll, with a median of 8 minutes after submit. In the last 10 days, 306 US employers had at least one broker failure. Only 29 of them had any successful application in the same period.

The reason Amazon, Walmart, Hilton, KPMG and KForce fail at the broker step, and why J-Vers /v3/job links and Jobrapido US CPC links fail for every employer.
A reason code with TRAFFICBROKER_ISSUE, and the source of each VACANCY_CLOSED verdict (employer page or partner).

3bJ-Vers: the `/v3/job` link format fails

30 days, final verdicts. Almost all J-Vers US_CPC links use apply.j-vers.com/v3/job/…, and none of them was delivered. J-Vers classic links (/job/<token>) deliver in both countries. In Germany the v3 links also do clearly worse than classic links on the same feed.

30 days, rows with at least 5 final verdicts. CVS Health has SUCCESS results through Adzuna_US but none of 95 through J-Vers US_CPC. Labcorp delivers through CV_Library_US (Appcast links) but not through J-Vers US_CPC. Jobrapido US CPC and US CPA links share the same format and differ only in the campaign token (utm_jse). The CPC links end at the broker and the CPA links mostly end as closed.

3dUS feeds that have hardly ever delivered

Lifetime counts from our delivery guard. A feed is listed when it has at least 50 verdicts and either under 5% SUCCESS or over 85% closed. In the last 10 days, 3,057 of 4,367 US applications went to these feeds and 82 were delivered. The other 1,310 applications delivered 298 (24% of final verdicts). Leaving out the five employers that never deliver even on the open feeds (Hilton, Walmart, Amazon, DoorDash, Amazon Flex), the rate rises to 298 of 696, or 43%.

Ten applications, start to finish

Each status poll is a GET on your /application/{uuid}/ endpoint. Timestamps show when we saw a status, so a status may have been set earlier. Partner slug and job-link host are taken from your API response. The task_id returned when we submitted differs from the one your API returns today in all ten cases, so both are listed. Each timeline starts with the partner feed import that listed the job before we submitted it. Where a later import still listed the job, that import is shown at the end.

The job was in our live feed when we submitted it, and JobUfo reported it closed an hour later. In the partner’s 6 Oct feed import, 11 hours after that verdict, the partner still published the exact same apply link.

5 · Questions for JobUfo

What would help us most

Which US employers and ATSs does your traffic broker support?
A list or an API flag would let us send only those as one-click and show the rest as normal job links.
Why do Amazon, Walmart, Hilton, KPMG and KForce fail at the broker step?
They fail on every feed we use, including JobMesh, which works for other US employers. Amazon is at 0 of 1,562 since late June.
Does your broker handle J-Vers /v3/job links?
None of 1,126 US v3 links delivered in 30 days, while classic J-Vers links deliver in both countries. German v3 links also do worse than classic links on the same feeds.
Why do whole feeds never deliver?
Appcast US CPC 3 of 6,019, Tideri US 0 of 1,638, J-Vers US_CPC 0 of 1,129 and Jobrapido US CPC 4 of 935, all lifetime. Jobrapido US CPC links have the same format as Jobrapido US CPA links and differ only in the campaign token. Does the CPC campaign lead the broker to a different page?
Where do JobMesh links for Amazon, Walmart and Hilton end up?
These are jmmst.com redirect links that carry a search query and a location. Does the broker reach the employer's own application form, or does it stop at an intermediate page?
Is VACANCY_CLOSED detected on the employer's page or at the partner?
Every closed job was in our live index when we submitted. At least 32% of the US jobs reported closed between 3 and 6 Oct were still published by the partner on 6 Oct, after your verdict (Example 10 is one). If you can return the URL where you detected the closure, we can take the matter up with the partner.
Can TRAFFICBROKER_ISSUE carry a reason code?
For example: unsupported ATS, login or captcha required, redirect loop, or no form found. That would let us filter automatically.
Why does task_id change after submit?
See section 4. Is the task re-dispatched, and which ID should we use when we report problems to you?

6 · What we are doing

Closed-job guard per feed

Our lander tracks verdicts per feed. Feeds with at least 50 verdicts and under 5% SUCCESS or over 85% closed (section 3d) are shown to the candidate as a normal job link instead of one-click. The guard has run in shadow mode since about 12:30 UTC on 6 Oct in both countries. It records its decisions but does not change anything yet. J-Vers US_CPC is one of the feeds it covers. Both gates are planned to go live together after a one-day shadow review.

Employer gate

An employer with at least 20 final verdicts and under 5% SUCCESS is shown to the candidate as a normal job link instead of one-click. The candidate can still apply; only the one-click route is removed. The gate has run in shadow mode on the US lander since 14:28 UTC on 6 Oct. Its counts were seeded from the last 14 days of verdicts and keep accumulating from there. Applied to the last 14 days, it covers 37 US employers and 1,952 applications (40% of US volume), which delivered 12 applications. We would lift it for any employer you confirm the broker supports.

7 · Method and limits

How the numbers were built

Sources: our submission log and our status-poll log from both landers, merged by application uuid. Logs from before the US lander split were stored on both machines, so each application is counted once. Applications are assigned to the US or Germany by the market recorded with each submission.
Final verdict = the last SUCCESS, TRAFFICBROKER_ISSUE, VACANCY_CLOSED, ERROR or ALREADY_APPLIED we saw. IN_SHIPMENT and NEW are not final. No application changed from one final verdict to another.
For the ten examples, the status in your API today matches our log in every case. For a wider check we sampled 604 applications across all feeds and verdicts, and all 604 matched.
Feed imports: we fetch each US partner feed once a day from 12:15 UTC and publish the build about a day later. A US job is therefore typically 1 to 2 days past its import when we submit it (19 to 45 hours in the examples). We only submit a job whose ID is in the live build. Fetch times come from the per-job fetch stamp where the build is still on disk. For older builds they are reconstructed from the build log, which matches the recorded stamps to within 10 seconds.
“Still listed after the verdict”: the exact apply link of 1,085 US applications submitted 3–6 Oct (before 12:00 UTC on 6 Oct) was looked up in the partner feed import fetched on 6 Oct between 12:15 and 15:30 UTC. Results by verdict: VACANCY_CLOSED 132 of 418 (32%), TRAFFICBROKER_ISSUE 58 of 447, SUCCESS 70 of 124 (56%). Some feeds change the link from one import to the next (J-Vers US CPC, Adzuna), so exact matching misses them and all of these figures are lower bounds. Closed jobs are found less often than delivered ones, so some closures are probably real removals from the feed.
Windows end on 6 Oct 2026 at 14:16 UTC. Applications from the last few hours may still be IN_SHIPMENT.
UNVERIFIED Where JobMesh and Jobrapido CPC links land. We did not open them, because they are paid clicks.
UNVERIFIED An earlier check of ours found Big Jobsite job pages showing “job expired” for jobs that were still listed in the feed. We did not re-check this for this report.
Gate counts in section 6 use the gate’s own basis (final verdicts) applied to the 14-day window. The live gate’s seed was taken at 14:28 UTC, after our data cut, so its employer count can differ by a few.
